Jamie Waring

Jamie Waring is the Managing Director, Development Wellness at Soneva. Before this he was the Managing Director Wellness OCTAVE Institute, based in Suzhou, China. Octave Institute has multiple business verticals including Sangha Retreat a cutting edge Integrative, holistic mixed development health retreat. Jamie started his business career in London’s financial district where he was a money broker trading currencies on the international markets. This experience made him realize that his passion and purpose is in human transformation and wellbeing and since has had over 25 years of experience within the fitness, hospitality and wellness industries. Leading cross-cultural teams, working in business development, brand creation, sales and marketing, operations, and financial and strategic planning of multi-unit businesses. Whilst based in Europe Jamie was the CEO for Holmes Place Eastern Europe were he created the Icon Fitness brand which was rolled out across Europe.  Previously Jamie spent five years with Six Senses Resorts & Spas in Bangkok as managing director and chief operating officer. His COO responsibilities included overseeing the global operations and corporate functions of the brand’s 44 resorts and spas.
