Amanda is a dynamic individual with a passion for delivering the spa experience to perfection. With over 22 years’ experience in the spa industry starting as an executive and moving into management she has an innate understanding of what makes a spa successful. She has overseen the development, opening and subsequent management of various spas in Asia including the award winning The Sentosa Resort & Spa – Spa Botanica (Singapore), Evian Spa at Three on the Bund (Shanghai), Yuan Spa at Hyatt on the Bund (Shanghai) and Andaz Hotel (First in Asia Pacific). A council of expert for China project – Hyatt Spa International. Main responsible for assisting to create Spa concept, treatment menu protocols, specify and sourcing of Furniture and Fixtures & Operating equipment’s, reviewing Millworks with designer and follow with Project team to ensure all specification and requirements are adhere and with Regional General Manager and relevant operational teams as required. Implement training and service sequences, enforces policy and procedures, conduct service quality for China properties on KPI and Guest Satisfactions through monthly report provided by corporate office. She believes the key to running a successful hotel spa is to have a strong ability to direct and build operations from all spa revenue centres with great knowledge of budget control and profit and loss strategies. Poses exceptional leadership qualities and leadership qualities including strong desire to develop and promote subordinates with superb interpersonal and communications skills to negotiate and persuade guests and employees to achieve results beneficial to operation of hotel and imparts that philosophy on all properties she is involved. Amanda has been a unique asset to an organization involved in 5-star spa operations in China as she has the ability to communicate fluently in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, ensuring that international spa standards are strictly adhered to. She also, has a deep understanding of the Chinese culture in mainland China and knows how to build and manage 5-star Chinese spa operations team. Not one to rest on her laurels, Amanda enjoys constantly upgrading her own knowledge and education by attending spa conferences, seminars and courses that can add value to the properties she is involved.
