Asahi leads Portas’ Asia Pacific business, based out of Singapore. Asahi was born in Japan, raised in the UK, and has a passion for expanding the positive social impact of mass participation sport. He currently serves sports leaders across Asia, focusing on governments, federations, charities and public bodies at national and city level. He has deep expertise in policy, strategy, delivery planning, and data analytics. Asahi has over 10 years’ experience of international public policy and consulting experience including McKinsey & Co., United Nations and the UK NHS. He is also a former advisor to Tony Blair and Director of Tony Blair Associates Government Advisory. He holds a MA in Philosophy, Politics and Economics from University of Oxford and a Masters in International Relations from University of Bristol.
