Founder & CEO

RX Health

Sean Tan

Sean is the CEO and Founder of RX Health, which will be launching RXERCISE Health Hubs in Singapore to deliver exercise prescription and will promote physical activity to the general population first in Singapore, and then Asia. This will be in partnership and consultation with healthcare providers with a view to monitoring the impact of exercise and physical activity on health.  Sean is on a mission to bridge healthcare and fitness/exercise/physical activity.

Sean, together with Ross Campbell, co-founded the Singapore Fitness Alliance (SFA), the industry body for the fitness and wellness industry in Singapore. Sean is a member of REX Roundtable for Executives.  Sean is the former Treasurer and Council member of World Active.

A lawyer by training, Sean spent more than a decade practising as a commercial litigator and a corporate restructuring insolvency practitioner. Thereafter Sean took on senior management and leadership roles in various industries, with active involvement in restructurings, mergers and acquisitions.  Recognising the usefulness of having a foot still in law and other commercial businesses, Sean is still the Group Legal Advisor of Hong Kong Main Board listed Technovator International Limited (HKEx: 1206).

The business of fitness and sports, however, is and always has been Sean’s real passion. With his legal background, and commercial experience, Sean brings a different and unique perspective to the fitness industry.  Sean was from 2018 to 2022 the Chairman of the board of True Group, a big box gym chain that had clubs in Singapore, Taiwan and China.  Sean was instrumental in restructuring the business to revitalise the brand and to introduce the “TFX” brand, as well as to help win a large Ministry of Defence tender in 2022 to provide physical training to the Singapore Armed Forces.   Prior to this, Sean had raised capital to co-found and run Football Asia, a sports management and event agency that took Real Madrid C.F. on its pre-season tour to China in 2011 and the Soccerex Asia Forum to Singapore in 2010. He founded the Fandi Ahmad Academy, and was a FIFA player and match agent. Sean was Legal Counsel for Team Singapore at the Beijing Olympics in 2008. Sean is also a co-founder and shareholder of CrossFit 6221 in Jakarta, Indonesia.  A firm believer in the growth of the sport of padel in Asia, Sean recently invested in and assumed the role of the Director (Strategy & Growth) of POP Padel, which in late 2023 won a Singapore Land Authority tender to build and operate 4 covered padel courts in Singapore.  Sean is spearheading an initiative to set the Singapore Padel Federation, and hopes that it will be a fully-fledged National Sports Association.

Sean is also a speaker at Beyond Activ World in Singapore.
