Wael El Merhabi is the CEO of Sport Clubs Company – Body Masters.
He manages one of the leading fitness companies and gym operators in Saudi Arabia, with 55 existing clubs in 17 cities of the Kingdom serving more than 100,000 active members.
Certified in financial management from the Institute of Management Accountants in the US and holding an M.A. in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University in the UK, El Merhabi has almost 25 years of multi-functional and multi-geographical experience, out of which 15 years in general management positions and 10 years in the fitness industry.
El Merhabi has led to a successful turnaround in Body Masters since he joined back in 2013 and helped growing the business despite many micro and macro challenges. He launched a new brand for ladies-only gyms in Saudi Arabia under the name of Body Motions, which quickly became one of the leading fitness gyms for ladies with 14 operations gyms, and another 3 to be opened in 2024. In addition, a new segment under the brand name of Body Experts was launched in 2022, in charge of offering to both the public and private sector all kind of fitness facilities services, starting from consultancy, and covering all aspects of design, construction, finishing, equipment sales and full operation of any fitness facility.
Wael is also a speaker at Beyond Activ EMEA in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
