Stuart works within Active IQ’s Commercial Team as a Business Development Manager looking after the North of England. With 20 years’ experience in the Health and Fitness sector, Stuart has studied numerous Active IQ qualifications as well as moving into a tutoring role, working with students up and down the country to improve the quality and standards of Active Leisure education across the UK.
A passionate Health & Fitness professional, Stuart started his career as a Lifeguard whilst he studied towards his BSc (HONS) Degree in Sports & Exercise Science and Business Studies, before moving through the various roles within the sector including Personal Trainer, Fitness Manager, Operations Manager and General Manager. He has worked for a variety of national club operators and was recognised by the Liverpool Fitness Awards as a finalist in the Fitness Manager of the Year category.
Based just outside Liverpool, England, Stuart has always been interested and invested in Health and Fitness and as a keen fun runner has completed charity runs for MIND and Stroke Association in the UK. Stuart is still a keen amateur footballer and when not playing can be found keeping active in the gym. He’s dedicated to spreading the message of the benefits of being active and the stress relief of competitive sport and acts as an advocate for a healthy balanced lifestyle.
