Seemant Jauhari

Seemant Jauhari is Partner, Healthcare at Jungle Ventures and speaker at Beyond Activ World in Singapore.

Seemant brings 23 years of experience in Healthcare Investments, Innovation, Business consulting and Strategy. Seemant currently leads healthcare investments for Jungle Ventures for the region –India & South East Asia. Prior to Jungle, Seemant founded HealthXCapital, the first early-stage healthcare dedicated VC ($17 Million) in South and Southeast Asia. At HealthXCapital, Seemant put together an ecosystem of strategic investors to create a smart connected capital platform for healthtech start-ups in the region. He has invested in 10 healthcare Startups in the early stage whilst having screened 1000+ Startups. Until 2017, Seemant was the CEO – Innovations & Research at Apollo Hospitals, one of the largest healthcare groups in Asia. He spearheaded Apollo’s initiatives to scout, evaluate, invest and commercialize innovations. During his tenure, Seemant has created joint ventures, commercial agreements and made direct investments spanning areas from digital health to life sciences.

In his previous assignments, Seemant has had diverse experience across Business consulting at Ernst & Young, Strategy and transformation at Nokia Solutions Networks and IT consulting at Tata Consultancy Services. Seemant is a graduate of Indian School of Business (ISB), Hyderabad, India and has a Bachelors in Engineering from the Birla Institute of Technology, India. Further, he has attended executive education programs on Innovation at the Berkeley-Haas and Recanti Business School, Tel Aviv.
