Chris Hardesty is a Partner at Pureland Venture, looking after early-stage biomedical sciences investments and value creation in the Asia-Pacific region and beyond.
His background is in health system financing, particularly public-private partnerships to bring safe, effective, economically-viable medical innovations to those populations in need. Beyond investments, Chris also serves on policy councils for topics such as reimbursement (including for digital health), healthy ageing, academic R&D (including start-up advisory), and teaching in clinician-led innovation programs. Having worked in more than 50 countries, he follows the manta of “something to teach, something to learn” about health and social system design. Chris is himself a healthy ageing enthusiast, recently returning from a state of ill-health and as an active father of two daughters. Chris is also a speaker at our Beyond Activ World in Singapore.
