C. Victor Brick is CEO, Ohana Growth Partners and Co-Founder of John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation.
He co-founded the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation in honor of his brother, John, who struggled throughout his life with mental health, but was never once offered a holistic plan supporting his wellbeing.
An author, motivational speaker, and fitness personality, Victor is the co-founder; with his wife, Lynne, and the CEO of Planet Fitness Growth Partners, LLC (PFGP), which owns and operates Planet Fitness health clubs in Maryland, Washington, D.C., Florida, Tennessee, Washington state, California and Australia. PFGP is the largest privately-owned franchisee in the Planet Fitness franchise system.
Victor was also the co-founder, with his wife, Lynne, of Brick Bodies, which is a chain of full-service health clubs in the Baltimore, Maryland area. He is still the Chairman of the Board for Brick Bodies. Brick Bodies Padonia was named as one the top 25 health clubs in the United States by Fitness Magazine.
Victor is an international business consultant and motivational speaker and has presented in over 25 countries around the world. He was named as IDEA’s (the Association of Fitness Professionals) 1990 Businessperson of the Year, the same year his wife, Lynne, was named the IDEA Instructor of the Year. They have both been named as two of Maryland’s top 50 most influential people. Victor has also produced and directed a dozen group exercise videos featuring Lynne, including How to Teach Aerobics, considered the Gold Standard group exercise instructional training video.
Victor is a member of the board for the John Hopkins Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Science. He is a member of the Board of Advisors for the Global Wellness Summit. He is on the Board of Directors for Defiance Fuel, which is the first structured water on the market.
Victor is also a philanthropist, and in 2015 Victor and Lynne founded the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation in memory of Victor’s oldest brother John, who suffered from schizophrenia and died of complications from the disease. The mission of the John W. Brick Mental Health Foundation is to change the way the world treats mental health. They do this by funding and promoting research and programs that promote healthy lifestyle choices as part of the mental health care delivery system. Victor serves as Chairman of the Board.
Victor and his wife, Lynne, reside in Miami Beach, Florida. They have two adult children, Jon, who is in the tech industry, and Vicki, who is the CEO of Brick Bodies. Faith and family are at the center of everything Victor does. A former college basketball coach and physical education teacher, Victor enjoys all sports, especially basketball and tennis, and has always considered himself a teacher first, even in the development of his businesses.
