Dr. Mezna AlMarzooqi is Director General, Leaders Development Institute at Ministry of Sport, Saudi Arabia.
Dr. Mezna AlMarzooqi is the Director General of the Leaders Development Institute (LDI) at the Ministry of Sport. With over 15+ years of experience in higher education, sports and health science, research, leadership, and community engagement, she is a respected advocate for women’s sports in Saudi Arabia. She has held board and committee memberships in the sports industry, including the Saudi Arabian Olympic Academy and the Saudi Life Saving Federation. Additionally, she has served as an esteemed advisor and head of the Women’s Sports Development Committee at the Saudi Universitie Sports Federation. Dr. AlMarzooqi is also a former associate professor of physical activity and public health at King Saud University, where she conducted pioneering research on promoting physical activity, shaping public policy, encouraging active living, and preventing lifestyle-related diseases. In 2018, she founded the KSU Movement Initiative for Healthy and Active Campus, the first women’s sports initiative at Saudi universities. Her dedication and contributions have won national recognition for advancing health and wellness.
