Jay Worthy

Jay Worthy is Group CEO of Myzone.

Jay is one of the UK fitness industry’s professional success stories. Having started out his fitness career as a personal trainer at LA Fitness, Jason has gone on to launch, lead and grow some of the industry’s largest and most successful international companies. In addition to his corporate career, Jay incorporates all his professional learnings and his appreciation of the great outdoors working as a High-Performance Coach helping companies and individuals keen to optimise the link between human health and nature. Today Jay heads up Myzone as Group CEO, steering the company through its next stage of international growth.

From LA Fitness, Jay moved into the role of Head of Sales at Technogym before being appointed Head of Operations at Fitness First in 2011, charged with rolling out the first phase of the brand’s budget concept, Klick Fitness. From here, Jay climbed the professional ladder at record speed. In 2012, he accepted a position of GM for EMEA with Life Fitness. By 2013 he had been promoted to MD of the UK business, which soon became MD for direct business EMEA in 2016. In May 2016, Jay has made MD of Cybex International, supporting the integration of Cybex with the Brunswick Corporate’s family of brands following its US$195m (€179m, £138m) acquisition at the start of that year. In 2019, led Life Fitness through a successful private equity transaction in 2019 before joining its former parent company, Brunswick, spearheading international expansion and new business ventures. Jay exited Brunswick in 2020 to pursue other opportunities, which included taking up the mantle as CEO of Dallagio RugbyWorks and then in 2023, joining international franchise company Anytime Fitness UK as CEO, a role that he remained in for nine months before taking a new path as a high-performance coach and a non-executive director, supporting and advising companies and individuals keen to optimise the link between human health and nature. In 2024, Jay joined Myzone as Group CEO, ready to lead the pioneering fitness technology company through its next international stage of growth.
