Mattheos Georgiou is Senior Vice President, SIRO and Rare Finds at Kerzner International.
Having originally joined Kerzner International as Global Vice President of Operations, Mattheos has played a pivotal role in enhancing global operational standards, positioning Kerzner for sustained success, and his promotion to Senior Vice President of Kerzner’s newest brands was a natural progression.
Mattheos’ collaborative nature and unwavering commitment to quality have been instrumental in elevating the guest experience and supporting internal growth. His leadership has led to the promotion of several Resort Managers to General Managers, reflecting his outstanding performance and ability to shape the future of SIRO and Rare Finds. Under Mattheos’ guidance, both brands will continue to expand their global footprint while maintaining their unique identities.
In his role he oversees Operations across both of Kerzner International’s pioneering brands; SIRO and Rare Finds. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer of Kerzner International, Mattheos utilises his extensive skills and experience, garnered over three decades in the hospitality industry, to drive operational excellence across all the resorts within the Kerzner portfolio, supporting the General Managers and their teams to deliver the exceptional guest experience for which the company is renowned.
A well-travelled, entrepreneurial leader, with an innate ability to inspire teams, Mattheos is well-versed in accelerating global business performance and achieving operational quality. Before joining Kerzner in 2022, Mattheos held leadership roles at renowned properties around the world including Grand Hyatt Hong Kong and Park Hyatt Tokyo. He has over a decade of experience working as a General Manager at highly regarded, high-end hotels, including Hyatt Regency Thessaloniki, Park Hyatt Dubai, Andaz Munich Schwabinger Tor, and most recently, Ararat Park Hyatt Moscow, where he and his team elevated the hotel into the Top 10 properties within Hyatt Hotels and Resorts worldwide for customer service scores.
Mattheos has a proven record of delivering exceptional guest experiences, managing diverse teams, and driving revenue growth. He is passionate about elevating the standards of the industry and mentoring the next generation of hospitality professionals. A Greek national, Mattheos studied and spent much of his childhood in Germany. He is fluent in Greek, German and English, with some knowledge of Russian and Japanese, he has dedicated time to developing his language skills to foster communication between guests and colleagues. An ardent traveller, Mattheos has visited over 50 countries around the world. In his personal time, he has a keen interest in nutrition and fitness, and his passion project is restoring old stone houses in rural Greece.
