Troy De Haas

Troy de Haas holds the position of Partner and leads the Asia-Pacific Sports & Entertainment Practice at the esteemed global executive search firm, Odgers Berndtson. With a career spanning over two decades in the sports industry, he served as the Head of Sports & Marketing at BMC in Switzerland and held the position of Director of Sales & Marketing at the Thanyapura sports resort in Thailand. Subsequently, he founded the TDH Sport & Entertainment marketing agency in Hong Kong. Troy’s extensive knowledge and unique expertise in the field enable him to collaborate with clients across various segments of the sports and entertainment industry.

As a former elite athlete Troy has represented Australia at the international level in Mountain Running and Orienteering where he became the first ever Non-European to medal at a World Championships. Passionate about the development of sports leadership talent in Asia-Pacific, he has a unique blend of executive and sports management experience, which gives him the ability to bridge the gap between sport and business.

Over the past twenty years, Troy has dedicated his efforts to competing, studying, and working internationally in Sport. Presently, Troy is based in Melbourne, as a headhunter where he collaborates closely with Odgers Berndtson’s Global Sports & Entertainment Practice. Most recently he is responsible domestically overseeing some of the most significant board and executive appointments throughout sport in the country, including the Brisbane 2032 Olympic & Paralympic Games.
