Dr. Dennis Serrano is President & CEO at St. Luke’s One Healthcare System and a speaker at Beyond Activ World in Singapore.

Dr. Dennis P. Serrano is a prominent figure in the field of urology, having dedicated his career to providing exceptional patient care, advancing medical education, and pushing the boundaries of surgical innovation. He performed hundreds of robotic radical prostatectomies during his career, which earned him widespread recognition and respect from colleagues in the medical field and patients alike.

As the current President and CEO of St. Luke’s Medical Center, Dr. Serrano’s extensive experience contributed to his new role and became a pathway for him to hold reputable positions in well-known medical institutions and organizations. Following his graduation from the UP College of Medicine in 1989, he entered his urology residency program at the PGH, which he finished in 1994. He earned his Master’s Degree in Hospital Administration from the University of the Philippines-Manila in 2005. He is also our internationally certified robotic surgeon. Before becoming SLMC President and CEO, he was the institution’s Executive Vice President for One Healthcare System. He became one of the driving forces behind the success and continuous innovation at St. Luke’s Medical Center, having pioneered the institution’s Robotic Radical Prostatectomy program in 2010.

In addition, he has a remarkable track record of leadership, having held the position of President in several prestigious medical associations, including the Foundation for the Advancement of Surgical Education, the Philippine Urological Association (in 2009), the Philippine Society of Urologic Oncologists and the Philippine Society for Transplant Surgeons (2017-2018). In 2015, he also served as the Chairman of the Philippine Board of Urology.

Currently, he sits on the board of the Asian-Pacific Prostate Society. He is also a member of the American Urological Association and European Association of Urology, as well as the Asian Consensus Panel of the National Cancer Care Network. His research interests and publications encompass various aspects of urologic oncology, prostate diseases, and renal transplantation. He has made significant contributions to medical literature, advancing the understanding and treatment of urological conditions through his scholarly work.
