Erica Tillinghast’s career in fitness spans nearly two decades and is rooted in a deep passion for empowering people through movement.
She is currently the VP of Marketing at Precor where she joined in 2013 to establish the Global Education department and has since held roles that combine product marketing, brand strategy, and education. From leading product messaging for innovative solutions like the P94 Touchscreen Consoles to redefining Precor’s brand narrative, Erica’s work reflects her commitment to quality, reliability, and supporting operators in delivering meaningful health experiences. Her diverse career includes working at Olympic Village during the 2012 Olympics, educating fitness professionals worldwide, and co-founding a youth jump rope coaching business that produced national and world champions.
As a lifelong athlete, Erica is passionate about distance running and is nearing her goal of completing the World Marathon Majors series, with just two races to go. Her leadership approach is shaped by two guiding principles: being present and adaptable—an idea sparked by a sign she saw during the Boston Marathon that read, “Run the Mile You’re In”—and fostering resilience and courage, inspired by Brene Brown’s Dare to Lead. She also draws motivation from Theodore Roosevelt’s famous “The Man in the Arena” speech, which celebrates perseverance and boldness in overcoming challenges.
Erica is a speaker at Beyond Activ Europe in Madrid, Spain.
