Celebrating Americas' Leading HALO [Fitness & Wellness] Brands and Executives

Our Awards of Excellence recognize leading companies and executives from across the HALO [Health, Active Lifestyle and Outdoor] sector in the Americas Region. Each award is given based on their achievements and successes in the past 12 months. (Aug. 2024 – Aug. 2025). In 2025 we will present 6 awards: (1) Franchise of the Year, (2) Deal of the Year, (3) Technology Company of the Year, (4) Fitness & Wellness Company of the Year, (5) Executive of the Year and (6) Lifetime Achievement Award.

The awards are voted for by our Leadership Circle as well as our event speakers, sponsors and exhibitors. Once our award shortlists have been decided (~6 weeks before the event), we share each the submissions for each award with our judges, who then vote on their best-in-class winner for each award. All awards are then presented on the night to our winners in front of our network.

2025 LIFETIME ACHIEVEMENT AWARD WINNER

Dr. Kenneth H. Cooper MD, MPH – For more than 55 years, Dr. Cooper has inspired millions to exercise for good health since the release of his first best-seller, Aerobics, in 1968. Dr. Cooper is the founder of the non-profit research and education organization, The Cooper Institute®, which was opened in 1970. Dr. Cooper is also the founder of and Chairman at the Cooper Aerobics Center in Dallas, which comprises eight health and wellness entities. This year, after decades of services, he has just published his 20th book. We had the pleasure of Dr. Cooper’s company on the evening of 2 October to honor him with our Lifetime Achievement Award and celebrate a truly magnificent human being, with a truly inspirational legacy

Award based on; success of existing portfolio in the Americas; recent net growth of franchisees in the Americas; net growth of member rate in the Americas; industry reputation; consumer reputation; franchise leadership; and investment on customer experience.

Any health, fitness, wellness or hospitality company, that operates or invests in the Americas. Award based on; any deal that has a significant impact to the b2b and/or b2c industry landscape in the Americas (M&A, divestment, JV, IPO listing, capital raise) – deal value; deal size; shareholder return; industry implications; transformational value.

TECHNOLOGY COMPANY OF THE YEAR

Any fitness, wellness or lifestyle technology company (software, hardware, system or platform – b2c and/or b2b). Award based on; successful commercial expansion in the Americas; future scalability; technology advancement; perception as industry gamechanger; positive return of investment to customer; and extent of industry collaboration.

Any facilities-based business (club, gym or studio) that operates or invests in the Americas.
