Ahmar Azam is the Founder and CEO of TriFit Limited, operator of TriFit Fitness Clubs. TriFit Ltd. is a Saudi backed Investment. It commenced business in Dec 2022, and in a short span has become Pakistan’s no. 1 Fitness Brand and chain of fitness clubs.
He also serves as:
- Board Member and Head of Finance Committee of Health & Fitness Association, USA (formerly IHRSA). World’s largest and oldest Industry and Trade Forum representing the USD 400+ billion global fitness industry.
- Audit Committee and Rem Com Board Member of Sehat Kahani, a disruptive telemedicine platform.
- Honorary Advisory Board Member of Tasdeeq.org – a disruptive technology platform to address crime in the blue-collar work force, since 2020.
Formerly, Mr. Azam served as:
- Independent Board Member of Golds Gym International in Saudi Arabia (2021)
- Independent Board Member of the Audit Committee of the International Cricket Council (ICC) (2018-2024)
- Honorary Middle East Advisory Board Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants, England & Wales (ICAEW) (2017-2022)
Before establishing TriFit, Mr. Azam led Leejam Sports Company (Fitness Time), initially as the CFO and later as the CEO. He successfully led the IPO of Leejam in 2018 as one of the most successful stock market listings in the Middle East. Leejam is top 7 fitness chain in the world, with a market cap of USD 3 billion+.
Mr. Azam has over 25+ years of professional experience. He spent first 8+ years in public accounting between UK and US. He is Big Four trained. Subsequently, he served in various public listed companies and other organizations holding key positions, such as Corporate Financial Controller for a US listed co.; Head of Internal Audit for the largest listed real estate finance co. in the US; EVP and Country Manager of an international bank in US; and Partner in a leading Finance & Risk Advisory consulting firm in the US.
In 2011 he moved to Saudi Arabia as a CFO for a multi-billion-dollar conglomerate. In 2014, he joined Leejam.
He is a Fellow Chartered Accountant from ICAEW. He also holds an Honors Degree in Accounting and Finance from the London School of Economics and Political Science in the UK.
He has been widely interviewed and published in various international magazines and newspapers: Cover Story “Club Business in August 2024 and April 2019” (Club Business is the most circulated fitness industry global magazine); Top CEO list “Khaleej Times”; Top CEO list in Saudi Arabia by featuring in Business Year Magazine 2019. He is a frequent speaker at both leadership and fitness conferences, podcasts and TV shows in Pakistan, Middle East, Europe and USA.
