Kath Thom is an experienced Chief Executive and respected industry leader with more than 25 years’ experience across aquatics, recreation, sport, fitness and leisure.
As CEO of Península Ocio, a business enterprise of Frankston City Council, Kath leads a team that balances the management of community recreation assets with meaningful investment in social benefit across the municipality. This approach reflects the organisation’s vision of ‘Improving lives by inspiring activity and connection’. Kath and her team have developed two key initiatives: ‘Every Child in Frankston Can Swim’, focused on helping to reduce drowning incidents on the Peninsula, and ‘More People are More Active, More Often’, which encourages greater participation in physical activity across the city.
