How do you describe your company in one sentence?
Positive and realistic.
What target/milestones are you laser-focused on this year?
2029 will mark Renaissance’s 50th anniversary. Before this milestone and specifically this year, 2025, we aim to “become a health solution company” by expanding peripheral areas such as home furnishings and nursing care and healthcare domain, while keeping integrated sports clubs as our main business.
What is your proudest ever career achievement?
Creating a system to standardize the instructors who lead the fitness and wellness programs, which has also become a model for standards in Japan. In addition of being able to develop a program to improve the cognitive function of the brain and obtaining enough evidence to be published in an international journal and creating a foundation for collaboration between medicine and fitness.
What excites you the most about the next 12 months?
Opening new sports clubs and care facilities that incorporate new systems.
What is the best business lesson you have ever learned?
Staying in my comfort zone stops my people and the business from growing. So enjoy the precarious and painful places.
If you could wave a magic wand and change something about our industry, what would you change and why?
People’s awareness of health and exercise. To that end, I hope that with the wave of a magic wand I can see a future for those who have spent their lives without exercise and health awareness.

What is your personal mantra?
Oh. God, is this my next assignment?
Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
My father, because he taught me how to live each of my 20s, 30s, 40s, and 50s. Also my former boss, (who is no longer with us) because he turned me into the leader I am today.
If you had an extra hour in your day, how would you spend it?
Cooking (I love to cook, but usually don’t have time to do it).
If you could have dinner with any three people – past or present – who would they be?
My father, My former boss (who passed away) and Keiko Kishi (famous Japanese actress) I would ask her about her way of life.
If you had to write a message on a billboard for all to see, what would you write?
I will teach you how to have a good time!
