Currently the Co-founder and Director of World Gym Australia, Mike Nysten established the World Gym brand in Australia with Jon Davie back in 2006.
Starting with one club in Penrith NSW, the brand now boasts 45 clubs and continues to grow and offer a national footprint. Mike started his gym journey at the age of 14, finding the gym to be a good fit he became a competitive bodybuilder and through the 90’s and 2000’s competed in national and international events.
Mike is a diesel mechanic by trade and worked within the Caterpillar dealer network for 24 years, growing through the business into senior executive roles, then taking all that learning and applying it into World Gym. Mike’s true passion is the people, nurturing employees into the best they can be, creating opportunities and training platforms to carve out the career path best suited.
