How do you describe your company in one sentence?
Smart Fit is one of the most creative and dynamic business in the global fitness market. It’s a junction of market intelligence, solid financial execution and a strong culture that drives everything that we do.
What target/milestones are you laser-focused on this year?
The company has a clear mission: make high standard fitness affordable everywhere. We will build more them 300 new clubs this year, and there is more to come.
What is your proudest ever career achievement?
Building a network of suppliers, logistic companies and third-party service providers that covers more them 2000 clubs was not an easy task. Just a few professionals in the whole fitness market had the chance to make it.
What excites you the most about the next 12 months?
The new developments that are about to come. There is a lot of excitement and new things happening that will give the company several new opportunities.
What is the best business lesson you have ever learned?
It’s not exactly a lesson, but we have to respect all the clubs that are open and delivering something to the consumer. If these clubs are open, some value has been delivered, and we need to learn from it.
If you could wave a magic wand and change something about our industry, what would you change and why?
The fusion of Strength and Electronics/Digital is not there yet. Several companies did and are making some attempts, but there is still something missing.
What is your personal mantra?
May the best happen.
Who has been the biggest influence in your life?
Definitely my father, with all the “pros” that he carries, but not forgetting the “cons” that everyone has. I am really proud of everything that he did for me.
If you had an extra hour in your day, how would you spend it?
With my son. We are not closer now, but he is what guides my life.

Dan Brown (novel writer) , Augie Nieto (Life Fitness founder) and Jason Lo (CEO Matrix Fitness). Each one with a specific reason.
