He first invested in Altea in 2020 and took the helm as CEO in 2024. Altea runs five clubs in Ottawa, Toronto (AVANT Yorkville and Liberty Village), Vancouver (West 6th) and Winnipeg, and an Edmonton flagship is set to open in December 2026.

Jeff has spent his career scaling Ottawa-based retail brands across Canada. He spent 20 years at Giant Tiger, from 1989 to 2009, and was named President in 1999. Over that time, Giant Tiger’s sales grew from $250 million when he joined to $1.4 billion, and the chain expanded into new markets, including the Greater Toronto Area. He then joined Farm Boy in 2009 as Co-CEO with a mandate to expand the business. He helped lead the company’s increased focus on freshly prepared, ready-to-eat meals, and under his leadership Farm Boy grew into a major Ontario retailer with 26 stores in 11 cities. The company was later sold to Sobeys’ parent company, Empire, in an $800 million deal. At Altea, Jeff brings the same multi-market growth playbook he applied at Giant Tiger and Farm Boy to premium fitness.
