As the Head of Wellness at Boutique Group, Charbel E. Watfa leads the creation of ultra-luxury wellness ecosystems within Saudi Arabia’s most iconic heritage palaces, transforming them into sanctuaries of culture, service, and impact.
Charbel oversees the design and development of Spa and Wellness concepts across multiple palace hotels, including The Red Palace in Riyadh, shaping new standards of palatial wellness that blend Saudi heritage with modern innovation. Previously, as Senior Spa Director for the Middle East and Africa at Four Seasons Hotels and Resorts, he oversaw Spa operations and wellness programs across multiple properties, leading the pre-opening planning and development of the Spa and Wellness entities within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to ensure alignment with the brand’s standards of luxury, innovation, and guest satisfaction.
With over 16 years of hospitality experience, Charbel has a proven record of opening and managing award-winning Spas, driving revenue growth, and crafting personalized wellness experiences that redefine industry benchmarks. His passion for wellness is deeply rooted in his physiotherapy background, where he developed expertise in manual therapy, anatomy, and biomechanics. Charbel holds a BSc in Physiotherapy from the Lebanese University and an MSc in Manual Therapy from Université Catholique de Louvain, along with certification in the McKenzie Technique for musculoskeletal treatment. This clinical foundation enables him to design transformative Spa treatments and mentor professionals effectively.
Charbel is continually inspired by emerging trends that blend innovation with tradition, creating meaningful, human-centered guest experiences. Outside of work, he enjoy traveling, photography, painting, cooking, reading, and tennis. Above all, he’s a proud father to Cyril and Caline, whose love and inspiration drive him to pursue excellence in every aspect of life. Charbel is also a speaker at Beyond Activ World in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
