Fitness Entrepreneur/Investor & “Padelvangelist”
Sean is a multi-hyphenate in the fitness, wellness and sports industries. A former lawyer who practised commercial litigation, corporate restructuring and insolvency for more than 12 years, Sean then spent some time in China and Indonesia in the private equity and commodities spheres.
As a result of a troubled acquisition by the listed holding company he was the group legal advisor of, in 2017 Sean was parachuted in to steady the ship as the Chairman of True Fitness, a big box gym group that had clubs in Singapore, China and Taiwan. Sean was instrumental in restructuring the business to revitalise the brand and to introduce the “TFX” brand, as well as to help win a large Ministry of Defence tender in 2022 to provide physical training to the Singapore Armed Forces. After steering True Fitness through the pandemic, Sean stepped down to focus on his other business interests.

Sean is passionate about padel. He is a founding shareholder in Pop Padel, which owns and operates 4 premium covered padel courts in Singapore and 6 premium covered padel courts in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Pop Padel is building another 6 premium covered padel courts in Singapore. Sean is involved in advisory work in padel around the Asia-Pacific region, and has a start-up focused on sports tech. Sean is also a speaker at ما وراء أكتيف آسيا in Thailand.
