Marjolijn Meijer founded Club Sportive in 1998. Her company has since grown into the Urban Gym Group (UGG), together with her business partner Jordy Kool who joined the company in 2016. Nowadays Marjolijn and Jordy serve as Vice Chairman and Chairman, jointly defining the group’s strategy.
Before her career in fitness and health, Marjolijn was active in education. Her experience and passion mainly focus on branding, design, real estate, M&A and talent development. Marjolijn is a much sought-after expert in the field of fitness and entrepreneurship.

In 2025 Marjolijn took over Renessence. (was part of UGG). She created this concept together with other creative people. Renessence is Amsterdam’s wellbeing destination that merges science and spirituality, offering therapies, classes, and programs focused on self-optimization and longevity.
Marjolijn is also a speaker at Beyond Activ Europe in Madrid, Spain.
