Josephine\u2019s concept of wellness begins with the soul. The first complement starts within oneself that a person needs to focus on being happy and positive, while letting go of the various stressors of life. From within to without, one\u2019s energy would exert an influence on the external environment and thus, one is able to pursue wellness independent of the initial conditions. The second complement is the Chinese concept of \u2018root\u2019 which can be described as a sense of identity such as language, traditions, culture, cuisine, and values. As an ethnic Teochew Chinese, Josephine continues to uphold traditions through cooking and speaking the dialect. In addition to her own ethnic practices, Josephine embraces other forms of Asian healing
such as traditional medicines of various cultures, complementary medicine and herbal medicine. In her free time, she enjoys Pilates, travelling, spending quality moments with friends and family, and volunteering.
